I didn't expect a close game with this lineup.

It's really unfortunate that Kahkonen was set up to fail by Evason.

The blowout doesn't really bother me... a meaningless game where the top guys were in the broadcast booth... the only thing that bothers me is, score 3 and coast through the next two periods on cruise control as if the St.Louis players were just going to quit.

Well, the Wild got the playoff opponent that they wanted in Vegas. But after seeing that score from last night, I am glad I didn't watch. I sure hope the Wild were in the "ok, we scored 3 goals, we're ready for the playoffs" mode and just didn't give a spit about the game. 7 unanswer is not good any way you frame it. Hopefully this didn't crush Kahkonen's resolve...just before the playoffs, this could be the type of game that kills a players spirit forever going forward.

Wild were locked into the 3rd seed. For anyone that has played sports, its tough to play a game with little meaning. Or more importantly a game to not get players hurt. Now the Wild have what I have said is the best match up as they have pretty much owned Vegas the past few years. Yes the playoffs are a different season but you have to be excited about the potential!
